- ✔ Groupings: Two grouping levels on accounts for advanced classification.
- ✔ Default Segment: New accounts automatically receive the first segment of the company.
- ✔ Code Validation: Warning when account codes do not match segment rules.
- ✔ Journal Items: Segment and groupings propagated to move lines.
- ✔ Report Filters: Filter accounting reports by segment and groupings (AND logic).
Visual Tour
⚙️ Segment Structure Configuration
Configure the number of digit positions used by segments. All existing segments are updated automatically when the structure changes.
🏦 Chart of Accounts — Segment on Account
Assign a segment and groupings directly on the account form. Segment is displayed next to the account code with live validation warnings.
📋 Journal Items — Segment & Groupings
Segment and grouping fields are available on journal items, invoice lines, and journal entry lines for full traceability.
📈 Accounting Reports Filter
Filter Enterprise accounting reports by segment, groupings (1), and groupings (2) using the dedicated Segment dropdown.
Code Rules
Account codes must start with the segment digit and match the exact number of digit positions (e.g. NNNN-1 → 4 digits starting with 1).
Full Integration
Segments and groupings flow from accounts to journal items and analytic lines automatically.
Enterprise Reports
Requires Odoo 19 Enterprise account_reports for dynamic report filtering.
