How It Works
Get started with geolocation in three simple steps.
Install & Select Contact
Install the module, then go to Contacts. Choose an existing contact or create a new one to add GPS coordinates.
Click "Detect My Position"
Locate the geolocation section on the contact form and click the "Detect My Position" button. Wait for GPS calculation to complete.
Done! All Features Available
Fields: Latitude & Longitude are now populated with GPS coordinates.
Buttons:
• Maps - View contact location in Google Maps
• Update Location - Recapture new GPS coordinates
• Delete - Remove GPS coordinates
• Itinerary (smart button) - Get driving directions from your current position
Prerequisites
- Odoo 19 Community Edition
- HTTPS or localhost for the HTML5 Geolocation API
- Internet connection for Nominatim and Google Maps
