PHASE 1 · ONE-TIME SETUP
Step 1 · Connect CAWL & Turn On Real-Time Updates
Paste your CAWL Merchant ID and API keys, pick Sandbox or Production, choose whether to allow saved cards, and decide if payments are captured automatically or held for review. Then copy the webhook address shown right on the provider screen into your CAWL dashboard, so CAWL pushes instant payment and refund updates straight into Odoo, no manual reconciliation again.
Step 2 · Publish & Go Live
Set the provider to Published. CAWL now appears as a payment option on your storefront, customer portal and invoice pay pages.
PHASE 2 · CUSTOMER PAYS
Step 3 · Customer Picks CAWL at Checkout
Your customer reaches the standard Odoo payment screen and selects CAWL from the list of payment options. Returning customers can pick a saved card here too.
Step 4 · Pay on CAWL's Secure Page
The customer is taken to CAWL's secure hosted page and chooses how to pay, by card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal or any other method you've enabled, with 3D Secure applied automatically when the bank requires it.
Step 5 · Payment Success
CAWL confirms the payment and brings the customer straight back to your order or invoice page, where they see the success screen.
PHASE 3 · INSIDE ODOO & CAWL
Step 6 · Transaction Marked Done in Odoo
The matching Odoo transaction flips to Done as soon as CAWL confirms the payment, no manual updates required.
Same Payment on the CAWL Dashboard
The payment appears in your CAWL dashboard with the same reference and amount as the Odoo record.
Step 7 · Invoice Auto-Reconciled
The invoice or sale order is matched to the payment and marked paid automatically. Clean accounting, zero data entry.

Is this compatible with Odoo Enterprise and Community?
Yes. Fully compatible with Odoo Enterprise (On-premise and Odoo.SH) and Odoo Community. Not compatible with Odoo Online (SaaS) as it does not support third-party apps.
Do I get free support after purchase?
Yes, 60 days of free support from the date of purchase. Each Odoo version is sold separately.
Which payment methods can my customers use?
Your customers can pay with any method you have enabled on your CAWL account, Cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal and more, all shown automatically on CAWL's secure page. Returning customers can also pay in one tap with a saved card. CAWL shows the right options to each shopper, so there is nothing extra to configure in Odoo.
Does the customer leave my website to pay?
For a moment, yes. The customer is taken to CAWL's secure hosted page to complete the payment, then sent straight back to your order or invoice page. This keeps sensitive card details off your store and helps build buyer trust.
Can customers save their card for next time?
Yes. Turn on "Allow Saving Payment Methods" on the provider, and customers can choose to save their card during checkout. Next time they simply pick the saved card and pay in one tap, ideal for repeat buyers and subscriptions. Card details are stored safely by CAWL, never on your server.
Do I need to be PCI compliant to use this?
No. Card details are entered on CAWL's secure page and never touch your Odoo server. CAWL handles the security and compliance for you.
Can I test before going live?
Absolutely. Switch the provider to Sandbox mode, enter your CAWL test credentials, and try payments end-to-end. Switch to Production with your live credentials whenever you're ready, no code changes needed.
How are refunds handled?
Open the payment in Odoo and click Refund. You can refund the full amount or a partial amount. CAWL credits the customer automatically and the refund is logged against the original payment in your accounting.
Does it support manual capture (authorise now, charge later)?
Yes. Toggle "Capture Manually" on the provider, and every checkout will only authorise the customer's card. You then capture the full amount, or just part of it, from the transaction screen, great for pre-orders and fraud review.
What if a payment update is delayed?
Every CAWL transaction gets a "Refresh from CAWL" button on its form. One click pulls the latest status from CAWL and updates Odoo, so you always have a manual fallback.
