FAQ
Can I have different payment workflows for different payment methods?
Yes. Each payment method can have its own automation rule, allowing you to define unique workflows per method.
How do I test if automation is working?
Create a test sale order or website order using the desired payment method. Confirm the order and check for automated actions (emails, invoices, payments) in the order's chatter, invoice tab, or email queue.
What happens if payment is not received for a Payment in Advance order?
The delivery (stock picking) will remain on hold ("waiting_payment") until payment is registered. Goods will not be shipped until payment status is "paid".
Can I use this module for both backend and e-commerce sales?
Absolutely. The module supports separate workflows for backend (manual) and e-commerce (website) sales, each with their own configuration options.
What if an automated email or invoice is not sent?
Check that the relevant workflow step is enabled, the email template is active, and your outgoing email (SMTP) settings are correctly configured.
Is multi-company supported?
Yes. You can configure payment workflows and journals per company, making it suitable for organizations operating in multiple entities.
What happens if I disable a payment workflow option after some orders are already in progress?
The change will only affect new orders. Existing orders will continue to follow the workflow settings that were active when they were created.
Is the module compatible with the Odoo Community Edition?
Yes. This module is tested and supported both Odoo Community & Enterprise Edition v19.0.
