Paytrail Payment Provider

Paytrail Payment Provider is a seamless Odoo module that integrates the Paytrail gateway, enabling businesses to accept secure online payments with ease. It enhances the checkout experience by offering reliable and user-friendly payment processing. Fully integrated with Odoo, it helps streamline transactions, increase customer trust, and improve overall sales efficiency.

Paytrail Payment Configuration

To set up the Paytrail Payment Provider in Odoo, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Website App:
   From the Odoo dashboard, go to the Website module.
2. Access Configuration Menu:
   In the Website module, click on the Configuration menu located in the top navigation bar.
3. Open Payment Providers:
   From the dropdown, select Payment Providers to view the list of available payment methods.
4. Configure Paytrail Payment Method:
   • Locate Paytrail in the list of providers and click to open its configuration page.
   • Enable the payment method by toggling the "Published" or "Enabled" option.
   • Required credentials such as Merchant ID, and Secret Key provided by Paytrail.
   • Set the appropriate environment(status) (e.g., Test Mode for testing or Enabled for live use).
   • Currency & Country Support: Paytrail payment provider supports only EUR currency and is limited to specific countries.
5. Save Changes:
   Click Save to apply the configuration.

Once configured, your customers will see Paytrail as a payment option during checkout and can complete payments seamlessly.

Open the Website Shop in Odoo and proceed to complete the checkout process.

Paytrail provides a secure and user-friendly payment experience, allowing customers to select from multiple payment methods during checkout. Once a method is chosen, users are seamlessly redirected to Paytrail's secure environment to complete their transaction.

On the Paytrail payment page, customers can securely enter their card details to complete the payment. The interface ensures encrypted transactions, providing a safe and reliable checkout experience.

After completing the payment process successfully on Paytrail's platform, you will be automatically redirected back to the Odoo system. A confirmation screen will appear, displaying a success message indicating that your transaction was completed. This message serves as proof of payment and confirms that your order has been processed. The screen will look similar to the example shown in the screenshot below, providing clarity and reassurance that everything went smoothly.

The Paytrail Transaction Details page provides a complete summary of each transaction processed through the Paytrail payment gateway. This section displays essential information such as transaction reference numbers, payment methods used (card, bank transfer, etc.), order amount and payment status. Merchants can use this page to quickly verify successful payments, track pending transactions, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. The clear layout and structured details ensure transparency and simplify the reconciliation process.

Once the transaction payment is created, you can easily initiate a refund if required. To do this, click on the Refund button. A refund pop-up will appear, where you can enter the desired refund amount and confirm the action by clicking on Refund. This process ensures a smooth and transparent way of handling product payment refunds.

Once a refund request is processed from the Paytrail server-side, the response is automatically communicated back to Odoo. As soon as this confirmation is received, the corresponding refund transaction is updated in the system and marked as Confirmed, ensuring accurate synchronization between Paytrail and Odoo for seamless financial tracking.
