Tap Payment Gateway

Tap Payment Gateway is a seamless Odoo module that integrates the Tap payment system, enabling businesses to accept secure online payments through multiple methods such as KNET, MADA, BENEFIT, BENEFIT PAY, Oman Net, Apple Pay, Visa, Mastercard, Meeza, and Amex. It enhances the checkout experience with features like refunds and saved cards for one-click payments. Fully integrated with Odoo, it helps businesses increase conversions, build customer trust, and simplify Payment Processing.

Tap Payment Configuration

To set up the Tap Payment Gateway in Odoo, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Website App:
   From the Odoo dashboard, go to the Website module.
2. Access Configuration Menu:
   In the Website module, click on the Configuration menu located in the top navigation bar.
3. Open Payment Providers:
   From the dropdown, select Payment Providers to view the list of available payment methods.
4. Configure Tap Payment Method:
   • Locate Tap in the list of providers and click to open its configuration page.
   • Enable the payment method by toggling the "Published" or "Enabled" option.
   • Enter the required credentials such as Publishable Key, and Secret Key provided by Tap.
   • Select a Payment Option from the available choices
   • Set the appropriate environment(status) (e.g., Test Mode for testing or Enabled for live use).
5. Save Changes:
   Click Save to apply the configuration.

Once configured, your customers will see Tap as a payment option during checkout.

Open the website shop, add products to the cart, and click on the Checkout button.

Select the Tap payment method and click Pay Now. You will be automatically redirected to the Tap payment page.

Enter your card details and click Pay to complete the transaction.

Verify your payment details in the ACS Emulator and click Submit to continue.

After the payment is successfully processed, you will be redirected to the order confirmation page with your purchase details.

Go to the Payment Transactions menu in Invoicing, where you can view the transaction created for the purchased product.

In the Customer Payments menu, you can initiate a refund for a transaction by clicking the Refund button. A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to enter the refund amount. Once entered, click Refund to complete the process.

When a refund is processed, the Tap server sends a response to Odoo, and the corresponding refund transaction is marked as Confirmed. If, for any reason, the refund response is not received by Odoo, a scheduled cron job will automatically fetch the refund status and update the transaction accordingly.

To allow saving payment methods, navigate to the Website module, open the Configuration menu, and select Payment Providers. From there, enable the option to Allow Saving Payment Methods.

Open the website shop, add the desired products to your cart, and click Checkout to continue.

Select the Tap payment method, enable the Save my payment details option, and click Pay Now. You will be automatically redirected to the Tap payment page.

Enter your card details and click Pay to complete the transaction.

After the payment is successfully processed, you will be redirected to the order confirmation page, where you can review the details of your purchase.

Once the payment is completed, a Payment Token is securely generated and stored in Odoo. This token allows customers to reuse their saved payment method for future purchases, ensuring a faster and more convenient checkout process.

To review the payment, navigate to the Payment Transactions menu in the Invoicing module. Here, you will find that a payment transaction has been automatically created for the purchased product, including details such as the Reference, Payment Token, Provider, Provider Reference, and Payment Method used.

Once a payment transaction is created, you can initiate a refund if needed. To do this, click the Refund button available on the transaction. A refund pop-up will appear, allowing you to enter the refund amount. You can choose to issue a full refund or a partial refund by specifying the desired amount. After entering the amount, click Refund to process the request.

When a refund is processed, Tap sends a server-side response back to Odoo, and the corresponding refund transaction is automatically marked as confirmed. If, for any reason, the refund response does not reach Odoo, a scheduled cron job will fetch the refund status from Tap and update the refund transaction accordingly to ensure accuracy.

Open the website shop, add the desired products to your cart, and proceed by clicking the Checkout button to continue with the order.

Since your previous card details are already saved, simply select the preferred payment method and click on Pay Now. You will be automatically redirected to the Tap payment page to complete the transaction.
