How It Works

Follow these steps to set up and manage your Zoho Payment Gateway integration with Odoo, ensuring a smooth and efficient payment processing experience.

Step 1: After the installation of the module, you can access the zoho payment in the payments providers model from the settings of the invoicing module.

Navigate to Accounting >configuration> Payment providers there you will find the zoho payment provider.

Step 2: Configure Zoho Payment Gateway

  • Internal users can configure the Zoho Payment Gateway settings, including API keys and authentication details.
  • To get the client id and client secret you need to create an application in zoho with the following redirect url: http://{database_url}/payment/zoho/oauth/callback
  • zoho app creation link https://api-console.zoho.in/
  • Webhook URL to Notify(please mention this url while creating the webhook in your Zoho account): http://{database_url}/payment/zoho/webhook
    • Sandbox Environment
    Step 3: Understand the Sandbox and Production Environments

  • In zoho payment gateway, the sandbox environment is used for testing and development purposes, allowing you to simulate payment transactions without processing real payments. The production environment is the live setting where actual payment transactions occur with real money. Make sure to switch to the production environment only after thoroughly testing your integration in the sandbox environment.
  • If you are in the sandbox environment use the state as test mode and then get the Auth code and access token to test the payment flow with test app in the zoho developer console. Once you are ready to go live switch to the production environment and update the credentials accordingly.

    Step 4: Once you configured everything Get Auth code by Clicking the button and exchange the code to get the access token.

    Step 5: Enable the payment methods

    Under the payment methods model enable the methods for the zoho payments

    Step 6: Manage Payments and Orders

    Access the zoho payment for the payments in the website and manage the payment transactions and order closures directly from Odoo.

    Installation

    📂 Step 1: Copy payment_zoho module

    Copy the payment_zoho folder into your Odoo custom addons path.

    🛠 Step 2: Enable Developer Mode

    Activate Developer Mode in Odoo to allow installation of custom modules.

    📦 Step 3: Update Apps List & Install

    Go to Apps → Click Update Apps List → Search for payment_zoho → Click Install.

    🔄 Step 4: Restart Odoo Service

    Restart your Odoo service to ensure proper module loading.

    sudo systemctl restart odoo
