Key Features
Product Configuration
Mark products as age-restricted. Set minimum age, category, verification method, and custom warnings.
Cart Highlighting
Restricted items show a red badge in the POS cart: "ID VERIFICATION REQUIRED | AGE 18+".
Payment Interception
Payment is blocked until the cashier verifies age. Approve or bypass with a mandatory reason.
Document Capture
Capture or upload ID documents (JPG, PNG, PDF). Stored securely on the customer or order record.
Audit Trail
Every verification is logged with status, cashier, timestamp, and notes. Full compliance reporting.
Dynamic Categories

How It Works
1. Configure - Mark products as age-restricted. Set minimum age, category, and verification method.
2. Sell - Restricted products are flagged in the POS cart with a red badge.
3. Verify - Clicking Pay triggers the verification popup. The cashier approves or bypasses with a mandatory reason.
4. Capture - If required, a second popup opens for ID photo capture or file upload.
5. Audit - Every action is logged. Managers review records on orders or in the reporting menu.
Installation
- Install the module from the Odoo Apps menu.
- Assign the Age Restriction Manager role to relevant users in Settings > Users.
- Manage categories in Inventory > Configuration > Age Restriction Category.
- Open any product (Goods or Combo), tick "Is this an age-restricted product?", and configure.
- Open a POS session. Verification is now active at checkout.
