POS Birthday Discount
POS Birthday Discount module enables businesses to offer a special discount to customers during their birthday month - enhancing customer loyalty and creating a more personalized shopping experience. The discount can be availed once within the birthday month.
To activate the Birthday Discount feature in POS, follow these steps:
- Go to Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings.
- Under the Pricing section, enable the option "Only apply discount on first order in birthday month."
- Set the Birthday Discount and specify the Birthday Month Discount (%) as per your requirement.
- Click on Save to apply the settings.
To apply the birthday discount correctly, you need to record the customer's birthdate:
- Go to Sales > Orders > Customers.
- Open any customer profile and set their Birthdate.
- Save the changes.
Once the settings and customer details are configured, apply the birthday discount during a POS transaction:
- Go to Point of Sale > Dashboard and open any POS session.
- Select products to add them to the order.
- Click on Customers and choose the customer whose birthdate you set.
The birthday discount is automatically applied to each product in the order. You can now proceed to complete the transaction:
- Verify that the Birthday Discount has been applied to all products.
- Click on Payment to finalize the order.
After the birthday discount is applied, complete the order by selecting the payment method:
- Choose your preferred Mode of Payment from the available options.
- Click on Validate to confirm and finalize the transaction.
Once the payment is validated, you will see a success message along with the order receipt. The receipt includes details of the applied Birthday Discount. You can also print the receipt for your records.
You can also verify the order details from the backend to ensure everything is recorded correctly:
- Go to Point of Sale > Orders > Orders.
- Locate and open the order you just processed.
- Here you can review detailed information including product prices, applied discount, payment amount, and overall order details.
