How It Works

1. Enable Auto Invoice in POS Configuration

Navigate to Point of Sale → Configuration → Settings and enable "Enable POS Auto Invoice For Selected Customers" for your POS configuration.

2. Configure Customer-Wise Invoice Settings

Enable "Use Customer Wise Invoice" to allow individual customer auto-invoice preferences.

3. Set Customer Auto-Invoice Preferences

For each customer, enable "Enable POS Auto Invoice" in their contact form to automatically generate invoices for their orders.

4. Automatic Invoice Generation

When a customer with auto-invoice enabled is selected in POS, the system automatically marks the order for invoicing.

Installation & Configuration

  1. Install the Module: Install through Odoo Apps or manually via module manager
  2. Access POS Settings: Go to Point of Sale → Configuration → Settings
  3. Enable Auto Invoice: Check "Enable POS Auto Invoice For Selected Customers" for your POS configuration
  4. Configure Customer Preferences: Optionally enable "Generate Invoice For This Customer"
  5. Set Customer Settings: Enable auto-invoice for specific customers in their contact forms
  6. Test in POS: Create orders for customers with auto-invoice enabled

Install the Module

After installation, navigate to Point of Sale → Configuration → Settings to configure automatic invoicing for your POS.

Step 2: Enable "Generate Invoice For This Customer" for customer-specific control

Smart Invoice Logic

The system intelligently handles invoice generation:
- Auto-invoice only works when a customer is selected
- Only customers with "Enable POS Auto Invoice" enabled get automatic invoices
- If no customer is selected, no auto-invoice is generated
- Manual invoice selection still possible for all orders
