Add Auto Dispatch to Kitchen functionality to your product categories. When enabled, products automatically send to kitchen display/printer when order is confirmed at POS.
Auto Dispatch checkbox on product categories
Manual print control from Kitchen Display
- Auto Dispatch to Kitchen: New checkbox on product categories to automatically send orders to kitchen when confirmed.
- Manual Print Control: Print button on Kitchen Display to manually control when orders print to printers.
- Flexible Workflow: Combine auto-dispatch for routine items with manual control for special orders.
How It Works
Auto Dispatch
Enable "Auto Dispatch to Kitchen" on product categories. Orders automatically send to kitchen when confirmed at POS.
Manual Control
Use print button on Kitchen Display to manually decide when to print orders to printers.
Step 1: Create Head Waiter Control
Navigate to Point of Sale → Head Waiter Control and create a new control display. Configure the Point of Sale and Product Categories you want to manage.
Step 2: Configure Display Settings
Set up your Head Waiter Control with the POS configuration and product categories (Food, Drinks, etc.) that you want to monitor and control.
Step 3: Control Printing from Display
Open the control panel and use the "Print All" button on each order card to manually print kitchen tickets. Filter by categories on the left sidebar to focus on specific stations.
Step 1: Configure Kitchen Printers
Navigate to Point of Sale → Configuration → Preparation Printers and configure your printers:
- Printer Name: Give each printer a descriptive name (e.g., "Grill Station", "Fryer")
- Printer Type: Select "IoT" for IoT Box printers
- Proxy IP: Enter your IoT Box URL (e.g., https://192.168.1.100:8069)
Step 2: Enable Auto Dispatch to Kitchen
Configure product categories to automatically send orders to kitchen when confirmed at POS:
- Navigate to Point of Sale → Configuration → Product Categories
- Edit each category (e.g., "Food", "Drinks", "Desserts")
- Enable "Auto Dispatch to Kitchen" checkbox
Step 3: Manual Print Control (Optional)
For ultimate control, use the Kitchen Display System to manually decide when to print:
- View Orders: See all incoming orders on the kitchen display screen
- Review Before Print: Check order details before sending to printer
- Print Button: Click the print button on any order card to manually print
- Category Filtering: Filter orders by category to focus on specific stations
- Automated Distribution: Orders automatically route to the correct kitchen station.
- Faster Service: Reduce preparation time with organized, station-specific tickets.
- Fewer Errors: Eliminate handwritten tickets and miscommunication.
- Better Organization: Each station only receives relevant orders.
- Scalable: Add multiple printers as your business grows.
- Easy Setup: Simple category-based configuration.
