FlexiUnit POS: Dynamic Pricing & Barcodes

This module enhances Odoo POS to support multiple Units of Measure (UoM) per product with custom prices and dedicated barcodes. It enables businesses to sell products in different units (e.g., bottles, packs, or kilograms) directly from the POS, with automatic price adjustments and accurate inventory tracking.

Scenario 1: Retail Store Selling Beverages

Product: Soda (Base UoM: "Bottle", Price: $2).
Multi-UoM Setup:
• "Pack of 6" (Barcode: 123456, Price: $10).
• "Case of 24" (Barcode: 789012, Price: $36).

Workflow:
• Cashier scans 123456 → POS adds 1 pack (6 bottles) at $10.
• Customer requests 2 loose bottles → Cashier selects "Bottle" from UoM button, adds 2 units at $2 each.

Scenario 2: Bulk Food Sales

Product: Rice (Base UoM: "Kg", Price: $5/kg).
Multi-UoM Setup:
• "500g Bag" (Barcode: RICE500G, Price: $2.50).
• "5kg Bag" (Barcode: RICE5KG, Price: $22).

Workflow:
• Scanning RICE5KG adds a 5kg bag to the order. Inventory deducts 5kg.



Multi-UoM Product Configuration
  • Define alternative UoMs (e.g., "Pack," "Kg") with custom prices and barcodes.
  • Restrict UoMs to the same category as the base product UoM.
Barcode-Driven UoM Selection
  • Scan UoM-specific barcodes to auto-select the unit and apply its price.

We recently purchased the FlexiUnit POS: Dynamic Pricing & Barcodes and UoM Price Printing Labels v19 module from Khaled Hassan, and it has been a great addition to our Odoo setup. The module works exactly as described—allowing us to sell products in multiple units of measure with custom pricing and barcodes directly from the POS. It has made our operations much more flexible and efficient.

What truly stands out, though, is Khaled’s excellent support. After the purchase, we encountered a few minor issues specific to our setup, and he responded quickly and professionally. He fixed everything on time and made sure the module worked perfectly for us.
