1 Cost Price Visible on Orderline
The cost price is displayed on each orderline. When the selling price is normal, it shows in gray.
2 Price Changed Below Cost
When the price is modified to be lower than the cost, the orderline shows a red warning.
3 Payment Blocked - Validation Popup
When clicking the Payment button, a popup appears listing all products being sold below cost. The sale is blocked until prices are corrected.

Validation occurs when clicking the Payment button, not during order validation. This prevents users from even entering the payment screen with invalid prices.
💰 Real-time Cost Display
Each orderline shows the product's cost price. This helps cashiers make informed decisions about discounts and price changes.
⚠️ Visual Warning System
When a product's price falls below its cost, the orderline displays a red warning with an exclamation icon, making it immediately visible.
📝 Detailed Error Message
The validation popup shows each affected product with its cost price, current selling price, and list price for easy comparison.
🔗 Safe Module Inheritance
Uses proper OWL patching with super.method() calls, ensuring compatibility with other POS modules that extend the same methods.
🔒 No Bypass Option
Unlike other modules, this one does NOT allow proceeding with below-cost sales. The only option is to cancel and fix the prices first.
❓ When does the validation occur?
The validation happens when clicking the Payment button in the Product Screen. If any product has a price below its cost, a popup appears and the user cannot proceed to the Payment Screen.
❓ Can I allow sales below cost for certain products?
Currently, the validation applies to all products. If you need exceptions for specific products, please contact support for a customization.
❓ What cost price is used for validation?
The module uses the product's standard_price field (Cost Price in Odoo). This is the same value shown in the product form under "Cost".
❓ Does this work with discounts?
Yes! The validation checks the final unit price after any discounts are applied. If a discount brings the price below cost, it will be blocked.
❓ Is this compatible with other POS modules?
Yes! The module uses proper JavaScript inheritance patterns (patch with super) to ensure compatibility with other modules that extend POS functionality.
❓ What Odoo versions are supported?
Odoo 19 - Both Community and Enterprise editions are fully supported.
