Why This App
Odoo 19 POS is template-first by default. That is useful for simple catalogs, but shops selling by color, size, SKU, barcode, pack, material, or variant-specific pricing often need the cashier to see and select the exact product variant immediately.
| Area | Product Templates | Product Variants |
|---|---|---|
| POS product grid | Shows Odoo's default product.template cards. | Shows separate product.product variant cards. |
| Cashier selection | Cashier starts from the template card. | Cashier directly adds the selected variant. |
| Search | Uses the standard template search behavior. | Supports variant name, barcode, SKU, and default code. |
| Best for | Simple catalogs and native Odoo display. | Retail catalogs with color, size, material, pack, barcode, or variant-specific price needs. |
