POS Product Template / Variant Display Mode

Give each POS configuration a clean choice: keep Odoo's standard product template cards or show individual product variants directly on the POS product screen.

Why This App

Odoo 19 POS is template-first by default. That is useful for simple catalogs, but shops selling by color, size, SKU, barcode, pack, material, or variant-specific pricing often need the cashier to see and select the exact product variant immediately.

Area	Product Templates	Product Variants
POS product grid	Shows Odoo's default product.template cards.	Shows separate product.product variant cards.
Cashier selection	Cashier starts from the template card.	Cashier directly adds the selected variant.
Search	Uses the standard template search behavior.	Supports variant name, barcode, SKU, and default code.
Best for	Simple catalogs and native Odoo display.	Retail catalogs with color, size, material, pack, barcode, or variant-specific price needs.

How To Use

1 Install Install the module from Apps after adding it to your Odoo 19 addons path.

2 Open POS Settings Go to Point of Sale settings and select the POS configuration you want to update.

3 Choose Mode Select Product Templates or Product Variants under Product Display.

4 Start POS Open a new POS session and sell using the configured product screen mode.

Developed by Rahul. Compatible with Odoo 19 Point of Sale. The module keeps Odoo's default template display unless a POS configuration is switched to Product Variants.
