Sell regulated products with confidence
Pharmacies, optical stores, medical suppliers, and health e-commerce shops must verify prescriptions before fulfilling orders. Without enforcement, customers can bypass the requirement entirely. This module adds a hard gate - no file, no cart - and keeps your review team in control.

Per-Product Flag
A single checkbox on the product form (Sales tab) marks any product as requiring a prescription. Flip it on or off at any time without touching any other setting.
Smart Upload Widget
On the website product page the Add to Cart button is automatically replaced with a branded upload widget. Supports JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF and PDF up to 5 MB. Client-side validation gives instant feedback.
Seamless Cart Flow
After a successful upload the product is added to the cart automatically and the customer is redirected to checkout - exactly the same experience as a normal Add to Cart, just gated.
One-Click Review
A dedicated Prescriptions menu in the Sales app lists all pending uploads with inline image and PDF preview. Reviewers click Approve or Reject - the record captures who reviewed it and when.
Inline File Preview
Images are displayed inline as a full-width photo. PDFs are embedded in an iframe - no download needed to verify the document. Your review team never leaves the form.
Sale Order Traceability
Each prescription is linked to the exact sale order line it triggered. A Prescription column appears in the order lines list and a smart button on the order form shows the count - one click to open.
How It Works
Admin flags the product
Open any product in Odoo, go to the Sales tab, and tick Requires Prescription.
Customer uploads on the website
The product page shows the upload widget instead of Add to Cart. Customer selects their file and clicks Upload & Add to Cart.
Review team approves
Staff open the Prescriptions menu, preview the file inline, and click Approve or Reject with optional reviewer notes.
Order is traceable
The approved prescription is visible directly on the sale order line. Full audit trail: upload date, reviewer, review date.
Flag any product in seconds
The Requires Prescription checkbox lives in the Sales tab of every product form. Enable it on a product and the enforcement is live immediately - no page templates to edit, no developer needed.

Full access to all prescription records alongside existing Sales Manager permissions. No extra group needed.
