⚙️ Configuration Guide
Phase 1 — Install & Connect
Install the Module
Go to Odoo Apps, search Print Odoo - Direct Print, click Install. Sales, Inventory, Invoicing and Purchase integrations activate automatically.
Add Printers Manually
Open Direct Print → Printers and create your printer: pick Network Socket and enter the printer's IP address (port 9100), or pick CUPS / lp and enter its CUPS queue name. Click Test Connection — done. No account, no API key.
Grant Access Rights
Assign the Direct Print / User group to employees who print, and Direct Print / Manager to whoever manages printers and scenarios.
Phase 2 — Configure & Automate
Enable Direct Printing & Defaults
In Settings → Direct Print, enable direct printing and pick a company default printer. Each user can set a personal default printer in their user form (Direct Print tab).
Create Print Rules & Scenarios
Add Print Rules (user + report → printer + bin) and activate the prebuilt Print Scenarios — delivery slip after validation, invoice on posting, sales/purchase order on confirmation, picking on backorder creation. Filter with domains and set copies per job.
Print — Manually or Automatically
Use Send to Printer from any Sales, Inventory, Invoicing, Purchase or Product list view for batch printing, flag reports for auto-print on download, or let scenarios do everything hands-free.
