Product Markdown CR Module

The Product Markdown CR Module is a powerful tool designed to help businesses manage product features, values, and expiration tracking with ease.

This module is especially valuable for retail, manufacturing, and other industries that require accurate product tracking and expiration management. Improve efficiency, reduce waste, and stay informed—all in one solution.

Go to POS settings → First Select Pos Config

Go to POS settings → enable Allow Markdown

1]. Go to Inventory Settings.
2]. Enable the Allow Markdown option.
3]. In the Markdown Barcode Pattern field, enter the pattern as described in the Description field.
4]. If you enable the Check Digit option, if it requires for you barcode pattern.

Go to Inventory > Markdown Policy Plan.
Create a new Markdown Policy Plan, then enter the Number Of Days Remaining and Number Of Days Decreasing.
After that, click on Generate Markdown Policy.

This tool allows you to define a timeline between days and configure the discount levels you wish to offer to customers as the product ages

Create a product and fill in all required details.
1]. Select Product Type `Goods`
2]. Enable Track Inventory and then select `By Lots`

Go to the Product and Enable Point of Sale option and Under the 'Point of Sale' section assign the Category as per your need.

Go to Product > Purchase Tab > Vendor

Go to Product > Inventory Tab > Enable Expiration Date option. [this option enables the system will tack this Product by expiry.]

In the Product Category, make sure to enable the following two options:
  • Markdown Policy Plan –> This option allows you to define which Markdown Policy Plan should be applied to the product.
  • Alert Days –> This option will automatically set Product expiry alert day before the Expiry day.

Create a Purchase Order and add Product which we create early, and then Confirm the PO.

Open The Receipt of Purchase order we have created.

Add Lot/Serial Number, Expiration Date and Alert Date for the Product's Lot, As per your need. and save it.

Now Validate the Receipt.

This Lot is created after `Validate`.

For Markdown Automation We have Already Created one Schedule Action to Update Stock Lot and it's Markdown Policy Automatically.

Also you can print the label. go to Print Label > Click on Print

Automatically applies Markdown Policies to eligible stock lots based on the remaining days until expiration and generates the corresponding barcode.

After generating the barcode, you can scan it in the POS system. The system will recognize the lot and apply the appropriate discount based on the configured Markdown Policy.

To apply a customised Markdown:
1. Go to Inventory > Products > Barcode Markdown.
2. Open the Lot and click on 'Customized Markdown' button to Customized markdown on the Perticular Lot.
3. Apply Cutomised markdown as per your need and assign for approval.

Go to Lot and See assigned For Approvals and Open the all Aproovals then Admin user can check Customised Markdown Properties and Admin User can Approves the Cutomsied Markdown and it will directly apply on the appropriate Lot.

To create a custom barcode:
1. Go to User Configuration.
2. Enable the Manage Markdown Approval option for Admin User.

Now,Admin User can Approve the Barcode.

Also you can print the label. go to Print Label > Click on Print

After approval, the custom barcode will be generated and can be used in the POS system.
The system will automatically apply the Markdown Policy to the product based on the configured rules. Also automatically removes Markdown Barcode which created by the system.
