Manage important documents directly from project records in Odoo. Attach contracts, specifications, permits, and project files with expiry tracking, and automatically notify customers or project managers by email when documents are approaching their expiry date.

Usage

  1. Go to Project and open a project record.
  2. Click the Documents smart button to open the document management view.
  3. Upload a document and fill in the Issue Date, Expiry Date, and optional Notes.
  4. Enable Notify Expiry and choose On Date or Days Before for the notification timing.
  5. Go to Settings → General Settings → Project Documents Expiry to configure:
    • Whether to notify the project customer
    • Additional email addresses to notify
    • The mail template to use
  6. Notifications are sent automatically by the scheduled action, or manually via Notify Document Expiry.
