RAID Risk & Issue Log for Project
RAID log for projects: risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies with probability x impact heat-map
RAID Risk & Issue Log for Project gives every project a dedicated RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) log. Score each item on a 1-5 probability x 1-5 impact scale, watch it graded automatically into Low/Medium/High/Critical, and manage it through Open, Mitigating and Closed with owners, escalation and a 5x5 heat map.
Key Features
Single RAID model for four item types
Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies share one record type, each with its own project, owner, category, status and mitigation plan.
Probability x Impact scoring
1-5 probability and 1-5 impact scales produce a 1-25 risk score, automatically graded into Low, Medium, High or Critical so triage never depends on someone doing the maths by hand.
5x5 heat-map wizard
A dedicated RAID Heat Map wizard lists every cell of the probability x impact matrix with its item count and severity color, optionally scoped to one project and excluding closed items.
Owner assignment and one-click escalation
Every item has a responsible owner; High or Critical items can be escalated with one click, posting a chatter update and scheduling a follow-up activity for the project manager.
Overdue tracking without stale fields
Items past their target date and still open are flagged and filterable through a live search translation, never relying on an ever-stale stored overdue column.
Project smart buttons
The Project form shows total, open and critical RAID item counts and jumps straight to the filtered log or the heat-map for that project.
Structured lifecycle actions
Items move through Open, Mitigating and Closed via guarded actions (start mitigating, close, reopen) that validate the current state before transitioning.
Full audit trail
Chatter and activities (mail.thread/mail.activity.mixin) track every status change, escalation and closure on each RAID item.

Why Choose This Module
Instead of a spreadsheet RAID log that goes stale the moment the meeting ends, this module keeps risk scoring, escalation rules and the overdue calculation as small, independently tested pure-python logic wired straight into Project, so the heat-map and the smart-button counts on the project form are always the live, current picture.
