Modern sales orders & quotations
The problem
The default Odoo portal mixes quotations and confirmed orders in a single flat list. Customers can't quickly tell which orders are partially delivered, which are awaiting approval, or which need follow-up. They end up emailing your sales team for status updates - updates that already exist in your ERP.
The solution
Portal Sales Client splits the portal into two modern enriched lists - one for orders, one for quotations - with a computed picking_state field summarising delivery status, partner-prefilled creation, and order/quotation counters on the customer's home page.
Key features
Two dedicated pages
One portal page for confirmed sales orders, one for open quotations. Each with its own counter on /my, its own filters, its own grouping presets.
Computed delivery status
A picking_state field summarises 'nothing shipped', 'partially delivered', 'fully delivered', 'cancelled' straight in the list. Customers self-serve the answer to 'where's my order?'.
Embedded backend list
Same UX as your salespeople: sortable columns, search bar, group-by, multi-filter. No more clicking through paginated portal pages of 10 items.
Auto-prefill on creation
When a portal user creates a quotation from the embed (if your workflow allows), partner / shipping / billing addresses are pre-filled from their own res.partner.
Per-partner ir.rule
Fine-grained record rules ensure each portal user only sees their own commercial partner's orders - even when several customer companies share the same holding partner.
Counters on /my home
The /my portal home page shows live counters for 'open quotations' and 'orders to track', with a one-click jump to the dedicated list.
Modern sales order list
Customers see all confirmed orders, sorted, filtered, with delivery status at a glance.
Sales orders embed: sortable columns, delivery status, computed totals.
