Introduction
This addon extends Odoo subcontracting features in following way:
- Update quantity in destination subcontractor based on quantity sent by source subcontractor, regardless of initial demand.
- Create MO of finished product, and get all subcontracting purchase orders created in one go chained with each other.
Example
Produce a product Door Handle with following processes:
- Cut pieces prepared from inventoried raw-material hocky in-house.
- Cut piece sent for VMC.
- VMC subcontractor sends processed units to Turning operator.
- Turning subcontractor sends processed units for buff and polishing.
- Buff subcontractor sends processed units for paint.
- Subcontractor paints and sends back to us.
Steps
Setup raw material, components, and finished products with correct route configurations.
Configure bill of materials.
What this addon does?
On creating manufacturing order of finished product, and confirming it creates all chained purchase orders in one go.
The next subcontractor only receives what sent by previous subcontractor. For intance, 1 unit lost in VMC results into 9 units going for the next turning process.
