Set Up
Install Smart Price Engine for Odoo app from the Odoo App Store. After that in Settings > User & companies > User in Price Engine section give the access of Manager.
Open the Price Engine configurations tab. Map your foundational Pricing Variables by matching clear Variable Codes to operational Odoo database fields (e.g., set cost to Product Cost, qty to Order Quantity, or w to Product Weight).
Work Flow
Establish a new pricing profile by defining a clear Name, valid from and valid to for the specific datetime, its Priority and to target customers on that only the rule will applicable. Write your Default Formula.
Add a line in the variable used which we created in pricing variable.
Now create the condition rules model, source field, operator, comparison value and formula after comparison value which formula should be followed.
You can also view the version history to see all formula changes made over time.
Open your Odoo Product forms or create a new product and link your newly deployed price rules engine to specific items or entire product categories.
Here the rule will not work because we have set the target customers in price engine.
Now we have changed the customer to one of the target customers. The pricing engine first evaluates the default formula. If the condition matches the comparison value, the condition-specific formula is applied instead of the default formula.
Now run the cron manually or will execute every 1 hour. The system will create a mail activity, and you can also see the status in the chatter, indicating whether the pricing engine has expired or is scheduled to expire.
