Set Up

Install the Smart Customer Tagging & Auto Customer Segmentation app from the Odoo App Store

Navigate to Settings >> General Settings.Locate the Customer Tag Configuration section. Configure your specific business thresholds:
High Value Amount - The minimum total purchase amount a customer must reach to be marked as a High Value customer.,
VIP Amount - The minimum total purchase amount a customer must have to qualify as a VIP customer.,
VIP Order Count - The minimum number of completed orders a customer must place to become a VIP customer.,
Inactive Days - The number of days without any new order after which a customer is marked as Inactive.,
And save the configuration.

Work Flow

Customers place Sales Orders within your Odoo system. The module monitors these transactions, strictly considering only Confirmed and Done Sales Orders for evaluation.

Customer statistics are continuously and automatically calculated (Total Revenue, Total Sales Orders, Last Purchase Date).

Based on the rules you configured in the settings, the system evaluates this data and automatically classifies customers into appropriate tiers (New, Repeat, High Value, VIP, Inactive).

A scheduled background job runs daily to update customer tags, ensuring all classifications remain perfectly accurate over time.

Color-coded badges instantly populate across the Customer Form View, List View, and Kanban View.
