Tokenized payment-method abstraction (card token, SEPA mandate, ACH, PayPal, manual) with expiry and revocation handling. Charge cron that generates due charges and drives a full retry / backoff dunning state machine (scheduled -> processing -> succeeded / failed -> retrying -> recovered / abandoned). Configurable dunning ladder per failure reason with exponential-style backoff and involuntary-churn classification. Donor self-service: upgrade, downgrade, pause-until, skip-next and cancel with graceful lapse instead of hard delete. Sustainer tiers with impact messaging derived from the monthly amount. Retention analytics: MRR, active sustainer count, voluntary vs involuntary churn and dunning recovery rate, snapshotted monthly.
