Chatter Position
Choose where the chatter appears on every form view: responsive, bottom, or always on the side.
By default, Odoo places the chatter on the right side of the form on wide screens and moves it to the bottom on smaller screens. This responsive behavior does not suit every workflow or screen setup.
This module adds a per-user preference to control where the chatter is displayed. Each user can independently choose the layout that fits their screen and way of working, without affecting anyone else.

The Three Modes
- Responsive: Standard Odoo behavior. Chatter is on the side on wide screens and moves below on smaller screens.
- Bottom: Chatter always appears below the form, regardless of screen width. Useful when you want more horizontal space for the form.
- Sided: Chatter is always forced to the side on wide screens, even when Odoo would normally place it below.
How It Works
The preference is set in the user's profile under Preferences. The selected mode is sent to the browser as part of the session and applied client-side via a JavaScript patch on the Odoo form compiler and renderer.
No server-side changes are made to the form views. The layout adjustment is purely a front-end concern, so the module is lightweight and compatible with all standard Odoo modules.
