Survey File Attachments
Let survey respondents upload images, PDFs, and other files as part of their answers.
Standard Odoo Survey answer types are useful for text, choices, dates, and numbers, but they do not cover file collection from customers, applicants, students, or internal users.
This module adds a File Upload question type to Surveys. Respondents can attach files during the survey, and the uploaded files are linked to the survey response for review in the backend.
What You Get
- New File Upload question type for Odoo Surveys
- Multiple file upload support for one survey answer
- Default support for images and PDF files in the browser file picker
- Uploaded files linked to the matching survey response
- Backend visibility on survey answer lines
- Printable answer page includes file names and download links
- Images are shown inline on the printable answer page
- PDF files are included as download links on the printable answer page
Typical Use Cases
- Collect proof documents from customers
- Receive images for warranty or service requests
- Ask applicants to upload certificates or resumes
- Let students submit assignments through a survey
- Collect signed PDFs, screenshots, or supporting evidence
How It Works
Survey managers add a File Upload question to a survey. The public survey form displays a normal file input for that question, with the accepted file types controlled from the question settings.
When the respondent submits the survey page, the files are uploaded through a secure survey route and saved as Odoo attachments linked to the survey response.
In the printable answer page, image files are previewed inline. PDF and other file types are shown as file links so the reviewer can open or download them.
