1. Installation Guide
Get up and running in just a few clicks — no configuration required:
- Go to Apps and remove the "Apps" filter.
- Search for Sale Custom Fields.
- Click Install.
- Done — the new fields appear automatically on every quotation.
2. Operating Manual (Workflow)
How the new fields work for the end-user:
Description
Open any quotation and fill the Description in the Order Info section. It becomes a column you can show in the Quotations and Sales Orders list views to scan orders quickly.
Customer Purchase Order
Type the customer's PO number once they confirm. Keep the commercial reference attached to the order for invoicing and follow-up.
Work Order Observations
Add free-text notes for the operations team. The field is designed to be printed in the Observations section of your Work Order report.
Zero Friction
All fields are optional and informational. They never block confirmation, pricing or invoicing — they simply travel with the order.

Scenario 1: Description on the Quotation
- Go to Sales > Orders > Quotations and open a quotation.
- In the order info area, type a Description, e.g. "Office furniture – Q3 restock".
- Save the record.
- Test: The value is stored and shown on the form.
Scenario 2: Description Column in Lists
- Open the Quotations list view.
- Use the optional-columns toggle (top-right of the list).
- Test: The Description column is available and shows the text you entered.
Scenario 3: Customer Purchase Order
On a confirmed sale order, fill the Customer Purchase Order with the customer's PO number and save.
- The reference is retained on the order.
- It remains visible to Sales and Accounting for follow-up.
Scenario 4: Work Order Observations
- Open any sale order and write notes in Work Order Observations.
- Save the record.
- Result: The notes are stored, ready to be printed in the Observations section of a Work Order report.
Scenario 5: No Side Effects
- Leave all three new fields empty.
- Confirm the order and create an invoice as usual.
- Result: The standard sales flow works exactly as before — the fields are purely optional.
FAQ & Troubleshooting
Common Resolutions
I don't see the Description column in my list?
Reason: The column is optional and may be hidden.
Fix: Click the small column-options icon at the top-right of the list and enable Description.
Do these fields change pricing or taxes?
Answer: No.
Detail: The fields are purely informational. They store data and never affect totals, taxes or the confirmation flow.
Are the Work Order Observations printed automatically?
Reason: This module stores the note; the printing lives in your Work Order report.
Fix: The field is ready to be referenced from a Work Order (Orden de Trabajo) report template.
Is it available in Spanish?
Answer: Yes!
Detail: The module ships with a complete Spanish translation for all labels and help texts.
