Profitability enforcement for Odoo 19 Sales
Stop selling below margin.
Enforce it — don’t just warn.
A hard block at order confirmation, a formal approval workflow, and a dedicated approver group. Below‑threshold orders simply cannot be confirmed until they are approved — and even then, only by the people you authorise.
€ 49 · one‑time
Most margin apps only warn. This one enforces.
A dismissible popup is not a control. If a salesperson can click past it, your margin policy is a suggestion. Sale Margin Control turns it into a rule the system upholds for you.
| × | The commodity tier: shows a warning, then lets the order through anyway. |
| ✓ | Hard block at confirmation — not a popup you can dismiss. |
| ✓ | Formal approval required before a below‑threshold order can proceed. |
| ✓ | Approval ≠ unlock — confirmation stays restricted to the approver group. |
What it does
Six controls that protect every margin
Everything is driven by settings — no company‑specific behaviour is baked in.
Hard block below cost or margin
Orders that breach the configured cost or margin threshold cannot be confirmed. The block is enforced server‑side, on every confirmation path.
Formal approval workflow
A below‑threshold order moves to Awaiting Approval, notifies approvers, and logs the decision in the chatter — a complete audit trail.
Approver‑only authority
Salespeople cannot self‑approve. Even after approval, confirmation stays limited to the approver group. Approval is a control trail, not a global unlock.
Sensitive financials hidden
Cost, margin and profit figures are visible only to approvers. Ordinary salespeople see a neutral “approval required” notice — no numbers leak.
Target‑margin price calculator
Set a target margin on a product and get the recommended selling price automatically — ready to use in your pricing.
Three‑level thresholds
Define limits per product, category, or customer, with Restrictive / Flexible / Single modes and stricter‑or‑override customer logic.
See it in action
From quotation to confirmed — under control
1. The order is blocked — with the numbers to back it
When a line falls below cost or the margin threshold, confirmation is blocked and approvers see a full breakdown: cost, net price, margin %, profit and the exact reason.
2. Request approval — the workflow takes over
One click moves the order to Awaiting Approval, schedules a to‑do for every approver, and posts a request in the chatter. Nothing is confirmed yet.
3. Approved and confirmed — fully traceable
An approver grants the exception and confirms the order. Who approved, when, and the original below‑margin context all stay on record in the chatter.
4. Everything driven by settings
Turn the control on or off, keep the always‑on below‑cost baseline, choose how thresholds combine, and decide how customer limits interact — all per company.
5. Price to your target margin
Enter a target margin on the product and the recommended selling price is computed for you — alongside the per‑product minimum margin and profit limits.
6. Reps never see the cost
For non‑privileged salespeople the financial breakdown disappears entirely. They get a clean, neutral notice that approval is required — and nothing more.
Built right
Production‑ready by design
Multi‑currency & UoM aware
Cost is converted across units of measure and into the company currency before any comparison — the margin math is always apples‑to‑apples.
Multi‑company safe
Thresholds, costs and configuration are read per company. Approvers act across orders within their company through standard Odoo access.
English & Bulgarian
Ships with a full English interface and a Bulgarian translation. Add more languages with the included translation template.
Make your margin policy non‑negotiable.
