Per-Order Quality Control for Manufacturing & Delivery
Decide from the sale order which quality checks apply to its Manufacturing Orders and Deliveries. Reusable tiers that adapt the required quality to each customer and price — without breaking native Odoo.

Quality That Fits Each Order
The same product may require different controls depending on the customer and the price. Group your Quality Control Points into reusable Profiles (e.g. Basic, Standard, Premium) and pick the right one directly on the sale order.
Non-Invasive by Design
Native Odoo still creates the quality checks — this module only prunes or augments the result after the native creation. Orders without a profile keep 100% native behavior, so nothing breaks on Odoo upgrades.

Step-by-Step implementation
1. Configuration Guide
Build your quality tiers in a few simple steps:
- Go to Quality > Configuration > Quality Profiles.
- Create a profile (e.g. Standard) and add its Control Points.
- Pick a Behavior: Restrict (only these) or Additive (native + these).
- On the Sale Order, set the Manufacturing and/or Delivery profile.
2. Operating Manual (Workflow)
How the system behaves for the end-user:
Restrict Mode (Whitelist)
On the order's operations, only the profile's control points survive; every other natively-created check is pruned. Perfect for tailoring a lean checklist to a specific customer.
Additive Mode
Keep all native checks and force the profile's extra points — even ones that would not match natively by product — respecting the operation type. Ideal for premium add-on inspections.
Independent Manufacturing & Delivery
Choose one profile for Manufacturing Orders and a different one for Deliveries. Each profile only affects its own operation type, so the two flows never interfere.
Regenerate After Confirmation
Changed the profile after confirming the order? Use the Regenerate Quality Checks button to reapply it to all open operations. Only pending checks are touched — completed ones are safe.
Safe by Default
Only checks measured per Operation or per Product are managed. Per-quantity checks and any order without a profile keep their exact native behavior — zero surprises.

Scenario 1: Restrict Profile (Whitelist)
- Create a profile "Standard" (Behavior = Restrict) with two Delivery control points.
- On a sale order, set it as the Delivery Quality Profile and confirm.
- Open the generated Delivery.
- Test: Only the two profile points should have Quality Checks; any other native delivery check is pruned.
Scenario 2: Additive Profile
- Create a profile "Premium Add-on" (Behavior = Additive) with one extra point.
- Set it on the order's Delivery profile and confirm.
- Test: All native checks remain AND the extra point is forced onto the operation, even if it would not match natively by product.
Scenario 3: Independent Manufacturing Profile
Set a Manufacturing profile and a different Delivery profile on the same order.
- The Manufacturing Order's checks follow the Manufacturing profile only.
- The Delivery's checks follow the Delivery profile only.
- Neither profile leaks into the other operation type.
Scenario 4: Regenerate After Change
- Confirm an order with a profile, then change the profile on the order.
- Press Regenerate Quality Checks.
- Result: Pending checks on open operations are rebuilt from the new profile; already-completed checks are left untouched.
Scenario 5: No-Controls & Native Fallback
- Order A: Restrict profile with an empty point list → the operation gets no checks.
- Order B: no profile at all → behavior is 100% native Odoo.
- Result: Both cases work without errors, proving the module never breaks the standard flow.
FAQ & Troubleshooting
Common Resolutions
My order has no quality checks at all?
Reason: You likely assigned a Restrict profile with an empty point list.
Fix: Add the desired Control Points to the profile, or switch to Additive / remove the profile to fall back to native checks.
I changed the profile but checks didn't update.
Reason: Checks are created when the operation is generated, not live on every edit.
Fix: Press the Regenerate Quality Checks button on the sale order to reapply the current profile to open operations.
An additive point wasn't forced onto my MO.
Reason: On Manufacturing Orders, product-level checks only accept the manufactured product(s), not components.
Fix: Ensure the point's operation type matches and target the finished product; this is an Odoo constraint, respected on purpose.
Is this safe on Odoo upgrades?
Answer: Yes!
Detail: The module never reimplements native matching — it only prunes or augments the checks Odoo already created, keeping it resilient to internal changes.
