The Sales VAT Report module enables users to generate detailed VAT or tax reports for sales transactions. Reports can be easily exported in both PDF and XLS formats, providing a clear and structured overview of taxable sales data.

Please note that this module requires the report_xlsx module It is essential for generating VAT reports in XLS format. Make sure the report_xlsx module is installed and active in your Odoo environment before using the Sales VAT Report feature.

To create a new Sales Quotation in Odoo, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Sales app and click on New to make a new quotation.
2. Enter all the necessary customer and order information.
3. Add the required products in the Order Lines section.
4. Once done, review the details and Save the quotation.

After creating the quotation, follow these steps to complete the Sales Information:

1. Scroll down to the Other Info tab in the quotation form.
2. Under the Sales section, select the appropriate Salesperson and Company.
3. Once all details are filled in, go to the header and click on the Confirm button to confirm the quotation.

Once the quotation is confirmed, follow these steps to generate the invoice:

1. After confirming the quotation, you will see the Create Invoice button at the top of the form.
2. Click on the Create Invoice button to proceed with invoice creation.
3. Choose the appropriate Invoice Type (e.g., Regular Invoice, Down Payment) if prompted.
4. Click Create and View Invoice to open the generated invoice.

While generating the invoice, follow these steps to complete the process:

1. Choose the preferred Invoice Type (such as Regular Invoice, Down Payment, etc.) from the available options.
2. After selecting the invoice type, click on the Create Draft button.
3. This will generate a draft invoice that can be reviewed before final confirmation.

After the draft invoice is created, follow these steps to confirm it:

1. Open the generated draft invoice from the list or directly from the quotation screen.
2. Review all the invoice details carefully to ensure accuracy.
3. Click on the Confirm button at the top of the invoice form.
4. The invoice will be validated and moved to the confirmed state.

To view and generate the Sales VAT Report, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Invoicing module from the main dashboard.
2. In the top menu, navigate to Reporting.
3. From the dropdown, select Sales VAT Report.
4. This will open the report wizard where you can filter and generate your VAT report.

Once the Sales VAT Report wizard opens, follow these steps:

1. Fill in the required fields such as Date Range, Company, and any other necessary filters as per your reporting needs.
2. After entering the details, click on the respective button to generate the report.
3. You can print or download the VAT report in both PDF and XLS formats directly from this wizard.

After filling the details in the wizard, click on the Print (PDF) button to generate the report. The generated PDF will display a well-structured layout of your VAT or Tax data with all relevant details.

1. Click on the Print (PDF) button in the wizard.
2. The system will generate a downloadable PDF report.
3. The report includes all selected records within the chosen date range.

If the Detailed Report option is enabled in the wizard and you print the report in XLS format, the system will include additional blank columns in the Excel file to represent detailed data structure.

1. In the VAT Report wizard, enable the Detailed Report checkbox.
2. Click on the Print (XLS) button to generate the detailed version of the report.
3. The generated XLS file will contain extra blank columns for detailed transaction formatting.

If the Detailed Report option is turned off in the wizard, the generated XLS report will appear in a simplified format.

1. Keep the Detailed Report option unchecked in the VAT report wizard.
2. Click on the Print (XLS) button to generate the summary report.
3. The XLS file will display VAT details in a clean, easy-to-read format.
