Seamless checkout with Telr
The module hooks into Odoo's payment framework and redirects customers through Telr's secure hosted page, then returns the transaction result automatically.
When a customer selects Telr at checkout, Odoo creates a payment transaction and redirects them to Telr's hosted payment page. After completing the payment, Telr returns the result to Odoo via a secure callback URL, and the order is confirmed or flagged automatically based on the response.

Configure the Telr Payment Provider
Accounting → Configuration → Payment Providers
|
Navigate to Accounting → Configuration → Payment Providers and locate Telr. Enable it and enter your Merchant ID and API Key from your Telr merchant account. Set the environment to Test for sandbox testing or Production for live transactions, then save.

Checkout with Telr
Customers select Telr at the payment step

Add products to the cart and proceed to checkout. Telr Payment appears as an available payment option. The customer selects it and clicks Pay Now to initiate the transaction.

Complete Payment on Telr's Secure Page

The customer is redirected to Telr's secure hosted payment page where they enter their card details. All sensitive data is handled entirely by Telr — your Odoo instance never processes or stores card information.

After a successful payment, the customer is automatically redirected back to Odoo with a confirmation page. The sale order is confirmed and an invoice is generated — no manual action required.

Make sure the following prerequisites are in place.

Valid Telr Merchant Account
You need an active Telr merchant account. Sign up at telr.com to get your Merchant ID and API key.

Correct API Credentials
Ensure your Merchant ID and API key are entered correctly. Test mode credentials differ from production — use the right set for each environment.

Public Callback URL
Your Odoo instance must be publicly accessible so Telr can send payment status callbacks. Local/localhost setups require a tunnel for testing.
