Standard Odoo gives you two plain-text fields for a receipt header and footer. This app replaces the whole receipt with a layout you build yourself — and the same design drives the on-screen preview, the browser print dialog and your ESC/POS thermal printer.

Upload a logo per design and set its width, pick monospace, sans, serif or condensed type, and choose the base font size.
Multi-Language
Translate every text block with Odoo's own translation dialog. The printed receipt automatically follows the customer's language.

Designs are company-scoped with record rules, and a design can never be attached to another company's Point of Sale.

Need something the blocks cannot express? Switch a design to Advanced mode and write QWeb directly. Restricted to administrators.

One Integration Point
Every POS print path flows through a single receipt component, so the screen preview, the browser print dialog and ESC/POS or IoT printers all render the same design. Nothing to configure twice.
Never Blanks a Receipt
If a design has no blocks or an empty template, the POS quietly falls back to the standard Odoo receipt. A misconfiguration can never leave a customer holding an empty slip.
Works Offline
Logos travel with the session as embedded data and QR codes are generated in the browser, so receipts keep printing correctly when the register loses its connection.
Keeps Odoo's Line Rendering
The Standard line layout reuses Odoo's own order-line component, so combos, lots and serials, customer notes and discounts keep printing exactly as they should.

Included in the module
Receipt design records with 18 block types, per-block typography and display conditions, backend live preview, paper presets and custom widths, per-design logo and fonts, translatable text blocks, multi-company record rules, per-POS assignment, an in-POS design switcher, an advanced QWeb mode for administrators, and one ready-made 80 mm design to start from.
Not included
Fiscal or country-specific certified receipt formats, kitchen and order-preparation ticket layouts, invoice PDF report design, and printer hardware or driver setup. Custom development around these is available as a paid service.
Do I need developer mode or coding skills?
No. The block designer is a normal Odoo form. Coding is only relevant if you choose the optional Advanced QWeb mode, which is restricted to administrators.
Does it work with thermal / ESC-POS printers?
Yes. The design replaces the receipt component that Odoo already sends to the printer, so ESC/POS and IoT Box printing use it automatically. Set the paper preset to match your roll.
Can different shops use different receipts?
Yes. Each Point of Sale gets its own default design, and you can list extra designs a cashier is allowed to switch to from the receipt screen.
Does it need an external API or service?
No. Everything runs inside your Odoo instance. The only dependency is the standard Point of Sale module.
What happens to my existing header and footer?
They keep working. Dedicated POS Header and POS Footer blocks pull in the text already configured on the Point of Sale, so you can place it wherever you like.
Is anything different on Odoo 16?
One detail: Odoo 16 prints the on-screen receipt itself rather than rendering a separate copy, so the Screen only / Print only visibility option has no effect there. Every other feature behaves identically. The option is honoured on 17.0 and above.
