Odoo 19 â Contact Admin Access Control & Form Edit Management
Key Features:

Contact AdminâOnly Access
Only users with Contact Admin permission can view phone and email details for all contacts in list and form view. -
Hidden Phone & Email for Other Users
Users without Contact Admin access cannot see phone or email for contacts created by other users. -
Own Contacts Remain Accessible
Users can still view phone and email details for contacts they have created themselves. -
Restricted Contact Opening
Clicking a contact created by another user will not open the form unless Contact Admin access is granted. -
Controlled Form Edit Workflow
Forms open in readonly mode by default with explicit Edit, Save, and Discard control.

Contact Admin Group Added in the Users
The Contact Admin group is added in the users form view to provide the full access to contact phone and email details.
Phone & Email Hidden in Contact List for (Non-Contact Admin) Users
Users without Contact Admin access cannot see phone or email fields for contacts created by others.
Click-to-Open Restricted for Other Users' Contacts
When a non-authorized user clicks a contact created by another user, the contact form does not open.
Export Restricted to Contact Admin
Exporting all contact data is restricted and allowed only for Contact Admin users.
Contact Admin Access Activated
Once Contact Admin access is enabled, users can view phone and email fields for all contacts.
Phone & Email Visible in Contact List (Admin)
Contact Admin users can see phone and email details directly in the Contacts list view.
Form Opens Only After Contact Admin Access
Once Contact Admin access is granted, the form view opens normally for contacts created by other users.
