POS Product Modifier
This module provides topping products for your restaurant. You can create a topping group and add topping products to it. When you add to the cart toppings group all relevant topping products are automatically added to the cart. We provide the functionality to add the global topping in the POS cart.

Select "POS Product Category" from the POS configuration.
Select toppings for category.
See toppings group inside product menu.
Create a topping group with topping names.
Create group 2 with different types of toppings.
Go to => product variants.
Now go to bacon burger product and see the tab name toppings add topping group and their related toppings automatically added.
Also able to change or add the topping manually.
You can update topping by mass action, Select record go to => action button select update topping.
After that one wizard opens add group and toppings and confirm it.
See that updated toppings group and topping in curry sandwich.

Enable global topping in product.
See the "Global Topping" checkbox inside the product variant. Tick the checkbox for add global toppings.
Enable topping checkbox in POS shop setting.
When click on order line then toppings menu will appear in the action menu. Click on topping button.
After that one wizard is open select the product it will add as toppings press ok to confirm.

You can add more than one toppings.
Also, easy to remove from the order line only needs to press the remove icon in order line.

Tick the box "Add Topping When Product Add to cart", it enables when any product add there topping also added in the cart.

Enable the Required in POS boolean under the Toppings Group.
Set the topping group under the Toppings tab in the product variant.
Go to the POS shop and select the product with the Mandatory topping boolean disabled.
If no toppings are selected for a mandatory topping group, the product will not be added to the cart.
Set the topping group under the Toppings tab in the product variant and enable the Has Mandatory Topping boolean.
If a product has mandatory toppings, selecting a topping from the mandatory group will trigger validation for both the topping group and the topping product.
Users can view the top used toppings from the Reporting menu.

We have reviewed the issue and thoroughly tested the functionality on our side. However, we were unable to reproduce the behavior described, where required-group warnings from unrelated products appear in the current product pop-up.

Missing key restaurant features; group scoping is buggy; 24-hour rollback. Refund requested.
Tested on Odoo 19 Enterprise (Odoo.sh) at BLEND restaurant in Tbilisi, Georgia. Bought this module on 2026-05-30 to replace native combos for our quick-service menu. Rolled it back within 24 hours after hitting three blockers. The popup UI works, but the data model is too thin for any real restaurant.
MISSING FEATURES (blockers):
1) NO per-group quantity controls. There is no qty_min / qty_max on sh.topping.group. is_required (boolean) cannot model real rules like 'pick exactly 1 milk', 'pick 0-3 toppings', 'pick at most 2 sauces'. We had to add our own fields + JS enforcement (~200 LOC) to make it usable.
2) NO per-item cap. A cashier can tap the same topping 50 times and the popup happily accepts it. Real rule: 'max 2 of the same topping per parent line.' Needs a max_qty_per_item integer on the topping product.
3) GROUP-TO-PARENT SCOPING IS BROKEN (this is the worst). When you open the popup for product A, it shows required-group warnings for products B, C, D too if their groups are marked required. Example: an Acai Bowl popup showed 'Pick at least 1 from EGGS YOUR WAY' (which is a breakfast group, nothing to do with acai). The validation seems to scan every required group in the database instead of only the groups linked to the current product. This is a logic bug, not a missing feature. The popup must only validate groups in current_product.sh_topping_group_ids.
4) (Bonus) Vendor typo: sh.topping.group.toppinds_ids (should be toppings_ids). Ships in production.
WHAT WE DID: rolled back the module + uninstalled. Switched to native product.combo + a small custom OWL extension. Native combos in Odoo 19 already give us 'max items per group', 'extra price per topping', and the improved combo configurator. Most of what we needed was already in core.
REQUEST: refund under the Odoo Apps 30-day policy, OR ship a v19.0.2.1.0 that fixes the three blockers and we will retest and update this rating. Happy to share our qty_min/qty_max + per-item cap extension code if it saves you implementation time.
Tested with: Odoo 19 Enterprise + pos_enterprise (Kitchen Display Service) + pos_hr + native product.combo.
