Shop Floor Auto-Refresh
Keep your Manufacturing Shop Floor always up to date - automatic live refresh with a professional countdown badge and instant manual refresh button
- Automatic Live Refresh - The Shop Floor reloads its work orders, quantities and employee list at a set interval, completely hands-free.
- Instant Manual Refresh Button - A small refresh button sits right in the badge. Tap it any time to reload immediately without waiting for the timer to end - the countdown resets automatically.
- Professional Countdown Badge - A clean progress bar badge in the Shop Floor header shows exactly how many seconds until the next refresh.
- Configured Inside Manufacturing Settings - Set the refresh interval directly in Manufacturing -> Configuration -> Settings. No extra app icon or separate menu.
- Operator-Safe - Refresh is automatically skipped while an operator has a dialog or form open, so no work is ever interrupted.
- No Screen Flicker - Data updates silently in the background. The screen never blinks, reloads or loses its position.
- Hideable Badge - Prefer a clean screen? Turn off the countdown badge from Settings - the auto-refresh continues silently.
- Set and Forget - Once configured, the module runs automatically every time the Shop Floor is opened.
- Step 1 - Configure: Go to Manufacturing -> Configuration -> Settings. Scroll to the Shop Floor Auto-Refresh section. Set how often the screen should refresh (in seconds) and save.
- Step 2 - Open Shop Floor: Navigate to Manufacturing -> Shop Floor. A small countdown badge appears in the top bar next to the search area.
- Step 3 - Automatic Refresh: The badge counts down. When it reaches zero, the screen refreshes instantly - just like pressing Reload Data - and the countdown restarts.
- Step 4 - Manual Refresh: Need fresh data right now? Press the â» button inside the badge. The screen refreshes immediately and the timer resets to its full value.
- Step 5 - Smart Skip: If an operator is filling in a form or dialog when the timer fires, the refresh waits for the next cycle so nothing is disturbed.

Shop Floor Operators
Operators always see the latest work orders and quantities without touching the screen - ideal for touchscreen or kiosk stations.
Workshop Display Screens
Mount a screen on the workshop wall showing live production data. Auto-refresh keeps it current all day with no one maintaining it.
Shift Handovers
New orders and employee sign-ins from other stations appear automatically - no manual refresh needed during busy shift changes.
Q: Does this work with Odoo Community Edition?
A: No. The Shop Floor screen is available only in Odoo Enterprise. This module requires Odoo 19 Enterprise.
Q: What is the minimum refresh interval?
A: 3 seconds. Setting the value to 0 disables auto-refresh entirely.
Q: Will a refresh interrupt an operator who is entering data?
A: No. If the operator has a window or dialog open, the refresh is automatically skipped and retried on the next cycle.
Q: What does the manual refresh button do?
A: Pressing the â» button in the badge refreshes the screen immediately - exactly the same as the auto-refresh - and resets the countdown back to its full value so the timer starts fresh.
Q: Can I hide the countdown badge?
A: Yes. Untick Show Countdown Badge in Manufacturing Settings. The auto-refresh keeps running silently in the background.
Q: Where do I set the refresh interval?
A: In Manufacturing -> Configuration -> Settings, under the Shop Floor Auto-Refresh section.
Q: Does the screen flicker or reload when it refreshes?
A: No. The data updates smoothly in the background. The screen never flickers, jumps or loses the operator's position.
