What it does
Automatic every 15 minutes
A scheduled action runs continuously. Paid Shopify orders land in Odoo without any manual trigger.
Smart customer matching
Customers are matched by email. If they exist in Odoo, the invoice links to them. If not, a new customer record is created automatically.
Draft invoices — you stay in control
Every order becomes a draft invoice. Review, adjust if needed, and confirm. Nothing is posted without your approval.
Shipping as invoice line
Shopify shipping costs are added automatically as a separate line on every invoice.
Duplicate-proof

Create a free Custom App in Shopify Go to Shopify Admin → Settings → Apps → Develop apps → Create an app. Set scopes
read_ordersandread_customers. Install it and copy the Admin API access token. -
Enter your credentials in Odoo Go to Settings → Shopify Odoo Connector. Enter your Store URL and paste the access token. The UI links directly to the right Shopify page — no searching needed.

Done — the Connected badge appears Orders start syncing every 15 minutes automatically. Find them under Accounting → Customers → Invoices (filter: Draft).
Each invoice includes
- All order line items with quantities and unit prices
- Shipping cost as a separate line
- Customer name, email, phone and shipping address
- Original Shopify order reference (SHOPIFY-XXXXXXXX)

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Shopify subscription or app store listing?
No. You create a free Custom App inside your own Shopify Admin. No Shopify app store required, no extra monthly fees.
Does the access token expire?
No. Shopify Custom App tokens are permanent. You configure it once and it works forever — no reconnecting, no token refresh.
Will it import old orders?
Yes. You can configure how many days back to look (default: 7). On first install, set it to the number of days you want to backfill.
What if I run the sync twice — will it duplicate invoices?
Never. Each order has a unique reference. If an invoice with that reference already exists in Odoo, the order is skipped.
Does it post invoices automatically?
No — and that's by design. Invoices land in draft so you can review, apply taxes, or make adjustments before confirming.
