Life Insurance Policy & Agent Management in Odoo
The Insurance Management module provides a structured and centralized way to manage insurance policies, customers, premiums, claims, and renewals within a single system. It enables organizations to maintain complete insurance records with clear visibility into policy lifecycles, due dates, and claim statuses, reducing manual tracking and operational risk. By streamlining insurance operations and documentation, this module helps improve accuracy, compliance, and overall efficiency in managing insurance-related workflows.

Maintain detailed insurance policy records linked with customers, including coverage details, policy periods, and status tracking.
Premium & Renewal Tracking
Monitor premium schedules, due dates, and policy renewals to avoid lapses and ensure timely follow-ups.

Set Up & Configurations
Download and install the Life Insurance Policy & Agent Management in Odoo module from the Odoo App Store.
Access the Dashboard: After installation, the app's Menu should be visible on your dashboard. By default, users are configured with the "Insurance Manager" role, which gives them full access.
Agent vs. Manager View: If you log in as an agent, you will have a restricted view, with some configuration options hidden, ensuring data security and a clean interface.
Work Flow
Create Agents: Navigate to
Configuration > Agent
to add all your agents into the system. This allows you to assign policies and track their performance.
Define Policy Types: Go to
Configuration > Policy Category
to define different types of policies (e.g., term life, whole life).
Set Up Document Types: Under
Configuration > Document Type
Define the types of documents you need from customers, such as Aadhar card or Pan card.
Manage Customers & Policies: Use the Customer Menu to create new customer records. From here, you can assign them a new policy and view their details. Once you've filled out the Policy form and confirmed the policy, it will be visible on the main dashboard.
Handle Claims: Customers submit a request for an insurance claim, which can be done from the Claim menu located under the Insurance Management menu.
Customer Portal Access: Customers with portal access can log in to view their my policies details, billing information, and track their claims. They can also access their invoices and view payment details through the portal.
