Set Up

Install the Lost Sales Recovery for Odoo app from the Odoo App Store

Work Flow

A user creates and negotiates a standard Quotation (Sale Order) in draft or sent status.

The customer declines the offer. The user clicks the native Log Lost Sale button at the top of the order form.

A wizard popup instantly loads. The user selects an appropriate cancellation reason from a drop-down master list.
The user clicks Save. The module extracts every product line, calculating lost revenue and saving these to the isolated Loss Analysis database.

The original quotation is instantly and automatically moved to the Cancelled status to keep the pipeline clean.

Managers can review the Lost Sales Analysis menu to analyze pivoted charts on exactly where revenue was lost over time.

Can I log a lost sale for an order that is already confirmed?

No, the system strictly allows logging lost sales only for quotations in the draft or sent stages to maintain secure financial accounting integrity.

Do I need to manually cancel the quotation after logging the lost sale?

No. The Log Lost Sale wizard is Plug and Play. Once the reason is logged, the module automatically enforces a cancellation on the parent quotation instantly.
