POS Multi Currency
Per-POS Setup
Enable multi currency per POS configuration and choose exactly which currencies the cashier can accept.
Live Conversion
The payment screen shows the exchange rate and the order total in the selected currency, using your accounting rates.
Full Traceability
The foreign amount and currency are shown on the payment line, printed on the receipt, and stored on the backend order.
How To Use
- Activate the currencies you need and set their rates (Accounting > Currencies)
- Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings > Payment: enable Multi Currency and pick the allowed currencies
- On the payment screen, select a payment method, pick the currency, type the amount received and hit Update Amount
- The payment line is converted to your company currency; the foreign amount stays visible everywhere
1. Enable It Per POS
Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings > Payment: tick Multi Currency and pick the currencies your cashiers may accept. Rates come straight from Accounting > Currencies.
2. The Panel Tells The Cashier What To Ask For
Order total is $367.77. The customer wants to pay in Rupiah. Select IDR: the panel shows the rate (1 USD = Rp 17,962) and the total to collect (Rp 6,605,884.74). The customer hands over Rp 6,605,885, the cashier types it in and hits Update Amount - the payment line is converted back to $367.77 automatically. Remaining: $0.00.
3. Overpaid? Change In Both Currencies
If the customer hands over more, the payment line keeps the original foreign amount - Cash (2,555,555 Rp) = $216.64 - and the change shows in your company currency and, inside the panel, converted to the foreign currency so the cashier knows exactly how many Rupiah to hand back.
4. The Books Stay In Your Currency
The receipt prints both amounts - Cash (Rp 6,605,885) $367.77 - but your accounting never leaves USD. The foreign amount is stored as a witness of the physical cash received: check it on the backend order under the Payments tab, columns Amount in Currency and Paid Currency.
Any Currency, One Till
Take dollars, euros or rupiah on the same order without leaving the payment screen.Mixed Payments
Split one order across several currencies: each payment line keeps its own currency and amount.
Accurate Books
Everything is booked in your company currency using the official rate, so accounting stays clean.
Clear Receipts
Customers see exactly what they handed over: the foreign amount prints next to each payment line.
