Secure OpenRouter API Key
Create an OpenRouter API key and connect it with Odoo.
This key is used to generate AI Email Drafts, Summaries and Next Actions inside CRM.
Recommended: each customer/company should use their own key for better
security and billing control.
Odoo Configuration
Configure everything from Settings → CRM → Smart CRM AI (OpenRouter).
Choose model, control creativity, response size and token usage.
Includes: API Key, Model, Temperature, Max Tokens, Chatter Notes Limit,
Optional headers (Site URL / App Name).
One-Click AI Suggestion
Open any CRM Opportunity and click AI Suggestion.
The module automatically generates:
📧 Email Draft • 📌 Summary • 🎯 Next Action
Output is based on lead details + recent chatter context.
AI Assistant Tab
All generated content is saved inside the AI Assistant tab:

CRM AI Logs
Track every AI action from CRM → CRM AI → AI Logs.

Request & Response Audit Trail
Each log record stores the full AI request and response.
Useful for debugging, quality checking, and compliance.

Step-by-Step Setup

Create your OpenRouter API Key
Go to: openrouter.ai/settings/keys
Click Create → Copy your API key safely.Recommended: each company should use its own API key for security & billing control. -
Select an OpenRouter Model
Browse models here: openrouter.ai/models
Copy the model ID (example): liquid/lfm-2.5-1.2b-instruct:free
(You can change model anytime in Odoo settings.) -
Configure inside Odoo
Open: Settings → CRM → Smart CRM AI (OpenRouter)
Add your API Key and Model, then tune optional settings:⚙ Available Settings:
• Temperature (0.2–0.8 recommended) → controls creativity
• Max Output Tokens → controls response length
• Chatter Notes Limit → controls context size & token usage
• Site URL / App Name (optional) → OpenRouter headers - Click Save to apply configuration.
How to Use in CRM
Open any Lead/Opportunity → go to AI Assistant tab. Use the Header button AI Suggestion:
Generates a professional follow-up email body.
Creates a structured summary for managers.
Suggests best next step + timing.
Each output box includes a Copy button for instant usage.
