Smart Reordering & Replenishment for Odoo
Min/max & demand-based reorder points, low-stock alerts and lead-time aware purchase suggestions
Never run out, never over-stock. A daily scheduler turns your real stock and consumption data into ranked, one-click purchase suggestions.
The problem & who it's for
Static reordering rules don't keep up with shifting demand, and watching stock levels by hand leads to stock-outs and dead inventory. Smart Reordering & Replenishment gives inventory managers and purchasing teams demand-based replenishment for Odoo: per-product, per-warehouse rules that respect supplier lead times and safety stock, ranked low-stock suggestions, and one-click purchase orders â built entirely on native Odoo stock data.
Key features
Static min / max rules
The classic reorder point: trigger when net available stock falls to or below a configured minimum, order back up to the maximum, rounded to your case or pallet multiple.
Demand-based reorder points
Compute the reorder point from recent consumption â average daily usage à lead time + safety stock â so it adapts automatically as demand shifts. A live preview shows the resulting point and average usage.
Lead-time & safety aware
Rules respect supplier lead time, safety stock and order multiples, and can target a specific warehouse or stock location â so suggestions reflect how you actually buy.
Ranked suggestions
A daily scheduler scans your products and produces ranked suggestions showing on-hand and forecast stock, reorder point, suggested quantity, vendor and an urgency score.
Urgency, coverage & stock-out date
Colour-coded urgency from low to critical, plus coverage days and a projected stock-out date for every item, so you act on the items that matter first.
One-click purchase orders
Turn suggestions into draft purchase orders in one click, grouped by vendor â or snooze and dismiss the ones you don't need yet.
Low-stock email alerts
An optional email digest keeps inventory managers ahead of shortages, summarising the items that need ordering.
Built on native stock data
On-hand, forecast and real consumption moves come straight from Odoo Inventory â no parallel data to maintain. Scheduled daily scan plus an on-demand generator wizard.
How it works
- Create replenishment rules per product and warehouse â choose static min/max or demand-based.
- Set lead time, safety stock and order multiples, and preview the resulting reorder point.
- Let the daily scheduler run (or trigger the generator wizard on demand) to produce suggestions.
- Review ranked suggestions by urgency, coverage days and projected stock-out date.
- Create purchase orders in one click, grouped by vendor â or snooze and dismiss.
Why this module
Odoo's built-in reordering rules are static min/max only. Smart Reordering & Replenishment adds a
demand-based layer â average usage, lead time, safety stock, urgency scoring and
projected stock-out dates â on top of native Odoo stock, depending only on stock,
purchase and mail. Smarter buying, no extra data to maintain.
