Good to know

How is a profile different from a group?

A profile is a template that bundles several groups plus the menus to hide, and keeps every assigned user in sync automatically — a group does neither.

What happens when I edit a profile?

The change propagates to all linked users immediately — no need to open each user and adjust groups by hand.

Does menu hiding really restrict access?

Yes. It combines native UI menu restriction with a record rule, so hidden menus are enforced — not just visually removed.
