Bom Selection To Order Lines
Select Bill of Material directly on Sale Order Lines and auto-apply it to Manufacturing Orders
This module lets sales users pick the exact Bill of Material to use for a product on each Sale Order line. When the related Manufacturing Order is generated, the BoM chosen on the order line is automatically set on that MO â no manual change needed on the shop floor.
Requirements
Manufacturing Routes Enabled
Product must have "Manufacture" (and typically "Replenish on Order (MTO)") routes enabled under Inventory tab for the Manufacturing Order to be generated from the sale order.
Key Features
Works With Existing BoMs
No extra setup required. Any Bill of Material already defined on the product (Inventory â Bill of Materials) shows up in the selection dropdown on the order line.
Select BoM on Sale Order Line
A new "Mo Bom Selection" field on the order line lets you pick from any Bill of Material configured for that product (e.g. multiple BoM variants like "3 Blades Fan", "4 Blades Fan", "5 Blades Fan").
Auto-Applied on Manufacturing Order
Once the Sale Order is confirmed and stock rules generate the Manufacturing Order, the BoM selected on the order line is passed straight into the MO's "Bill of Material" field â components and operations follow that BoM automatically.
