POS Guest Required
Never take a restaurant order without capturing the guest count. Force your cashiers to enter the number of guests the moment a table is opened.
Enable
Toggle "Guest Required" in POS settings
Open Table
Cashier selects a table from the floor plan
Enter Guests
Popup asks for the number of guests
Take Order
Count saved; red badge shows on the table
Per-POS Toggle
Enable "Guest Required" only on the POS configs where it makes sense. Other registers stay untouched.
Auto Popup
The guest count popup fires automatically the moment a cashier opens a table. No button to hunt for.
Truly Required
The popup loops until a valid positive number is entered. No way to skip, no way to start a tab with zero guests.
Corner Badge
A red pill on the top-left of every occupied table shows the guest count at a glance across the floor plan.
One-Time Prompt
Once confirmed for an order, revisiting the table does not re-ask. Cashiers aren't nagged on every screen change.
Zero Config
Install, tick one checkbox, done. No new models, no migrations, no UI retraining for your team.
This module is built and tested against the vanilla (standard, unmodified) edition of Odoo 19, both Community and Enterprise. It depends on Point of Sale and POS Restaurant.
If your Odoo instance has third-party customizations on Point of Sale or POS Restaurant (custom floor screens, custom product screen overrides, alternate popup dialogs, etc.), behavior is not guaranteed. Please reach out to our support team before purchasing if you are running a heavily customized Odoo POS.
