POS Refund Button Hide
Remove the POS Refund action from cashiers who aren't authorised. A per-employee "POS Refund Allowed" toggle decides who sees the button - the rest never touch a refund by accident.
Per-Employee Permission
A "POS Refund Allowed" toggle on the employee form decides who can process refunds at the register. Off by default so refunds are locked down out of the box.
Live Button Hide
The Refund entry in the POS Actions menu is rendered conditionally - no popup, no error, the button simply is not there for unauthorised cashiers.
Cashier-Aware Switching
Works with the standard pos_hr cashier switching. When a different employee logs in, the Refund button appears or disappears immediately based on their permission.
Works With Any POS Role
Layers on top of the existing POS Basic / Advanced access rights. Grant Refund to Basic cashiers, Advanced cashiers, or only to managers - per employee, not per role.
Zero Workflow Change
Authorised employees still hit Refund exactly where they always did. No new screens, no PIN popups, no extra clicks.
Ultra Lightweight
One boolean field, one employee form patch and one POS template inheritance. Nothing else added - loads instantly.
Compatibility Notice
This module is tested and certified to work with the vanilla (standard, unmodified) edition of Odoo Community and Enterprise. It depends on the standard Point of Sale and POS HR modules.
If your Point of Sale or HR module (or any third-party POS extension) has been modified by another developer, the Refund button hide may not apply as expected. Please contact our support team before purchasing if you are running a heavily customized Odoo instance.
