Smart POS Search
Bring fuzzy matching and admin-managed synonyms to your Point of Sale. Cashiers find products faster, even with typos or alternative names - reusing the same synonym dictionary as Smart Website Search.
Typo Tolerance
Cashier types "iphne" - POS finds iPhone. Pure client-side bigram matching so it still works when the network is slow.
Shared Synonyms
Reuses the synonym dictionary from Smart Website Search. Maintain one list - it works on both the shop and the register.
SKU + Barcode Boost
Exact SKU and barcode matches always rank first - perfect for scanned items and high-volume B2B re-ordering.
Variant Search
Matches against variant-level SKUs and barcodes too, not just product templates - so the right variant comes up first.

Compatibility Notice
This module is tested and certified to work with the vanilla (standard, unmodified) edition of Odoo Community and Enterprise. It depends on the standard Point of Sale module and on the companion module Smart Website Search (star_website_search) - install that one first since this module reuses its synonym model.
If your Point of Sale product picker or search input has been replaced or heavily customised by a third-party module, please test on a staging environment first. Synonyms are preloaded into each POS session, so fuzzy and synonym matching keep working once the session is started, even offline.
