Global Statutory Leave Engine
Per-country annual-leave rule packs — accrual, seniority, carry-over, expiry, payout and Time Off allocation
A country-agnostic engine for statutory annual-leave entitlement and accrual. Every figure that varies by jurisdiction — base entitlement, accrual method, seniority bonus schedule, carry-over cap, expiry window, rounding — lives in an editable rule pack, so you adjust it whenever the labour code changes. The module computes statutory accrual per employee, handles mid-year joiners and leavers, settles year-end carry-over and forfeiture, values leave paid out at termination, and pushes the result into Odoo Time Off. Built on Human Resources with its own computation models. Compatible with Odoo 18 and Odoo 19, Community and Enterprise.
Editable per-country rule packs
Each rule pack sets the statutory base entitlement, working- vs calendar-day basis, accrual method, seniority bonus schedule, maximum entitlement cap, carry-over policy and cap, carry expiry window, rounding rule and working-days divisor. Nothing is hard-coded — every value is an editable field carrying its official legislative source.
Reference packs installed by default
Ships with ILO C132 (3-week minimum), the EU Working Time Directive (4 weeks), Germany (BUrlG), France (congés payés with seniority and a 33-day cap), Spain (30 calendar days), the United Kingdom (WTR 1998, 5.6 weeks) and Poland (Kodeks pracy, 20/26 days).
Real accrual algorithms
Monthly, daily and up-front accrual; mid-year proration for joiners and leavers; seniority bonus as a step function of continuous service; statutory rounding (half-up, or up/down to a half-day unit). The core is dependency-free Python and exhaustively unit-tested.
Carry-over, expiry & payout
Year-end settlement carries unused days up to the statutory cap, forfeits the excess, computes the carry expiry date, and values any untaken leave paid out at termination from a reference wage.
Allocation runs & Time Off
Populate one line per employee, compute statutory accrual / carry / forfeiture / payout per rule pack, export a CSV register, and push the result straight into Odoo Time Off (hr.leave.allocation) in one click.
Simulator & automation
An interactive simulator answers what-if questions for any rule pack and scenario. An optional daily cron keeps open runs in step with mid-year hires, terminations and rule edits.
Built for extension
The rule-pack registry is open: thin per-country SKU modules add their own jurisdiction packs on top of this engine without touching the computation core. No employee data leaves Odoo. Always confirm statutory figures against current national guidance before relying on them for live HR operations.
