Stock Access Rules
This module helps organizations manage users' access to locations and product stocks efficiently. Establish per-user warehouse restrictions and ensure comprehensive control over geographically distributed warehouse operations.
The tool seamlessly regulates rights for locations, available inventories (stock quants), inventory transfers, operation types, and stock moves across the organization.

No complex coding. Just install and let the module handle the data mapping.
Key Features
Per-User Restrictions
Define accepted users for Odoo locations or available locations for users. No other users can access those locations.
Hierarchical Permissions
If a user has rights for a location, the user automatically inherits rights for all its child locations ensuring seamless management.
Comprehensive Security
Regulates rights for locations, available inventories (stock quants), stock pickings, picking types, and stock moves across all views.
Global Locations
If a location does not have any accepted users assigned, such a location acts as 'global' - everybody can access it.
Super Rights Access
Administrators and users with the 'Super Warehouse Manager' right have full access to all locations bypassing standard restrictions.
How to Configure Stock Access Rules
To configure stock access rules, begin by ensuring that the module is properly installed.
Next, navigate to Settings > Users & Companies > Users and assign the
appropriate access groups to the users.
The Super Warehouse Manager group provides unrestricted access to all
stock-related operations.
In contrast, the Restricted Warehouse User group applies controlled access
based on defined rules,
limiting visibility and operations for locations, quants, pickings, picking types, stock moves,
and move lines.
Note: A user can be assigned to only one group. If both Super Warehouse Manager and Restricted Warehouse User are selected, the system will automatically remove Restricted Warehouse User and give priority to Super Warehouse Manager.
Configure Location-Based Access Control
Navigate to Inventory > Configuration > Locations and open any
location record.
Users in the Super Warehouse Manager group can assign users to locations using
the allowed users field.
This controls which users can view and perform operations on that specific location.
Parent–Child Location Behavior:
Locations in Odoo follow a hierarchical structure (Parent → Child).
• If access is given to a parent location, the user will automatically get
access to all its child locations.
• If access is given only to a child location, the user will
not get access to its parent location.
• If no users are assigned to a location, it is considered open and accessible
to all users.
Important Note
If a user does not have access to the WH/Stock location, then the related Operation Types will not be visible to that user.
To ensure proper configuration, you must assign the appropriate location access to users and create separate Operation Types for the given access locations.
Configure Operation Types:
Go to:
Inventory → Configuration → Operation Types
