How It Works
📝 Add Notes to Stock Locations
Go to Inventory › Configuration › Locations. Open any bin or storage location. Find the Bin Note field and add handling instructions — e.g. Heavy items only, Keep refrigerated.
👁️ Notes Shown During Picking
When warehouse staff process a stock picking and a transfer involves a noted location, the bin note is displayed on the picking form — providing guidance at the right moment without needing to look up the bin.
📋 Reduce Picking Errors
Use bin notes to document: special storage requirements, access restrictions, bin orientation instructions, or FIFO/FEFO rules for that location. Consistent notes reduce mis-picks and warehouse errors.
🔍 Location Notes Overview
Filter the Locations list to view all bins that have notes. Periodically review and update notes as storage conditions or picking rules change.
