Odoo 19 no longer posts a separate interim (GRNI) entry the instant each stock move is validated — which breaks the audit trail finance teams rely on to reconcile goods received against supplier bills. Stock Interim Per Move restores that behaviour: every receipt and delivery move posts its own independent, balanced journal entry the moment it is done, and each interim account is cleared automatically when the matching vendor bill or customer invoice is posted.

Auto-Closing Interim
When the vendor bill or customer invoice is posted, its line is rerouted to the interim account so the pending GRNI entry clears automatically — no manual matching.
Receipt & Delivery Scope
Covers supplier-to-stock and customer-to-stock moves, including vendor and customer returns. Internal transfers, scrap and adjustments are deliberately left untouched.
Per-Product Accounts
Override the Stock Input, Stock Output, Valuation account and Journal per product from a dedicated Interim Accounts tab — each field falls back to the product category when left empty.
Accurate Cost Source
Receipts are valued at the linked purchase-order price (converted into company currency); deliveries use the product's own cost per its costing method — Standard, AVCO or FIFO.
Landed-Cost Safe
Landed costs are left entirely to Odoo 19's native split between inventory valuation and COGS — so there is no double counting and no distorted stock value.
Two-Way Traceability
Each stock move links to the entry it generated, and each journal entry links back to its stock move — both shown directly on the record forms for a clean audit trail.
Multi-Company Aware
Interim accounts and journals are company-dependent with company-consistency checks, so every branch posts to its own correct accounts automatically.

Every validation posts a balanced entry — and the interim account closes when the bill or invoice arrives

Post vendor bill  →  Dr Stock Input (interim)  /  Cr Accounts Payable   → GRNI cleared
OUT Delivery  — sale or vendor return
Validate move  →  Dr Stock Output (interim)  /  Cr Stock Valuation
Post customer invoice  →  Dr COGS  /  Cr Stock Output (interim)   → interim cleared
Zero-quantity and zero-cost moves are skipped, entries are never duplicated, and Odoo's own in-scope postings are suppressed to avoid double accounting.
